When Machete was first released, me and my sister were the only people on the movie theater who laughed at the end of the film when the narrator announced “Machete will return in ‘Machete Kills’…and ‘Machete Kills’ again.” Apparently we understand this homage to the ridiculous movie titles of 60’s and 70’s. I never took those titles to mean that Robert Rodriguez was actually going to create those movies, but he proved me wrong. Guess he was serious…
